Colinas de Miramar   Colinas de Miramar

Location

Colinas De Miramar is located in the province of Puntarenas, and now with the opening of the new Caldera Highway is only 1 hour from the western suburbs of San Jose, as well as the  Juan Santamaria International Airport, making it the closest  coastal development community from the San Jose area. In addition, Colinas de Miramar is located about 2 hours south of the International airport in Liberia. This means that our residents can choose to arrive in Costa Rica either thru the bustling hub of the capital city of San Jose, or thru the gateway to Guanacaste in Liberia.

Nestled in the foothills of the Tilaran mountain range, we are just 5 minutes from the quaint town of Miramar, where our residents can find supermarkets, hardware stores, typical Costa Rican restaurants, gas stations, Red Cross services and clinics. From Thursday thru Sunday, the local farmers market offers every kind of fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses and herbs, some organically grown.

With over 3 kilometers of frontage on the Inter-American highway, Colinas de Miramar is just 10 minutes from the largest Regional Hospital outside of San Jose and about 20 minutes from the port town of Puntarenas. There are also 24 hour private medical response services available. With the new Caldera Highway project coming from San Jose, intersecting the Inter-American Highway just 10 minutes to the south, the driving time from the capital city of San Jose to Colinas de Miramar will be reduced to just around 1 hour.

The long anticipated Caldera Highway is COMPLETE!!

The $230 million project opened in February, 2010 and now travels from the western suburbs of Escazu and Santa Ana, outside of Villa Colon and through the valley to Orotina. The total route covers 77 kilometers (48 miles) and links the capital of San Jose with the country’s most important port of Caldera, running through the towns of Santa Ana, Ciudad Colón, Atenas and Orotina. There will be a toll of aproximately $2.50. With the completion of the new highway, it is estimated  to take as little as 1 hour to reach the coast, and raise land values throughout the Central pacific Region and to establish the Central Pacific as the business hub of Costa Rica.
